I was hesitant to get this fridge due to the price, but has been a gamechanger on my camping and road trip Adventures. I love being able to stow away in the sub trunk to save extra room for my camping gear. Highly recommended!

So I thought this would be a plug-in play purchase. And it is in some respects. However, the power supply to the 12 V outlet shuts off when the Tesla goes to sleep. This is a problem. I found out that you have to put your Tesla into camp mode or sentry mode in order for the power to stay on to those 12V outlets. This is a recent change in the Tesla software making this more problematic for users. The reason it’s problematic is that the power usage is higher than expected for using the fridge when not driving because the sentry mode and camp mode take up additional power because they’re doing other things beyond just turning on the 12 V outlet. My wife and I bought two of these fridges. We are going to definitely return one of them due to this issue, I hope that Tesla can fix this in future software updates but for now this is the reality. Buyer be aware.
